Myspace - Popular Features

Myspace is one of the biggest social networking media originated from California with more than 1000 employees that works hard to make Myspace successful. The origin of Myspace domain is a site owned by YourZcom, Inc although it is a big competition on different social networking sites they never intend go down because of outstanding features of Myspace.

During past years 2007 and 2008 Myspace had continuously upgraded their site with more enjoying layouts and features. One of the best things they did was redesigning the home page of the user, features like the status updates, applications and added subscriptions so that they won't lose the competition with other social networking websites.

Top five features of Myspace:

o Bulletins - These are posts that were posted on the "bulletin board" so that ever Myspace user's friends will see. Bulletins can be very useful for the user to contact a list of friends without sending the message individually.

o MyspaceIM - this works as an instant messenger created to communicate with friends. If both user and friend is online, they can chat using the IM with no worries of getting individual email addresses. The IM will indicate if one or more friends are available to chat. This tool can also deliver notifications like new messages, new friends' request, and new comments.

o Myspace Mobile - This tool will allow a user to be updated even without an access to individual computers. A user can keep track of the Myspace account via Cellular phones. Carriers like AT&T, Vodafone and Roger Wireless features Myspace.

o Myspace forums - Same as other forums Myspace also added Myspace forums in their site to let all Myspace users to interact with each other, share opinions and ideas.

o Myspace news - In 2007, Myspace launched Myspace news, a new service that displays news in RSS feeds that even a Myspace user can submit. A user can also rank news posted by voting. The most voted news gets, the higher level and will continue to move up.

Business people may be interested to know that Myspace now accepts advertising.

Myspace is now facing a big challenge because of several social media sites that have been recently added. No matter how hard and challenging the competition is among the sites, Myspace will continue and stay on this competition to make new and old clients enjoy and challenged as well with new upcoming improvements. New applications, new interesting features, and more site upgrades with Myspace in the years to come.
